The Core Misunderstanding About Care
Most people think of healthcare as a series of isolated treatments for specific symptoms. You have back pain? You get an adjustment. You have a headache? You get a pill.
This model is broken. It treats your body as a collection of separate parts, ignoring the central, unified system that controls everything: your nervous system and its environment.
My practice is built on a different premise, one backed by the latest in circadian and quantum biology: You are a decentralized, photobioelectric organism. Your health is a state of coherence, where energy and information flow efficiently. Pain and disease are states of dissonance.
The old chiropractic model, which posits that "subluxations" cause all disease, is an oversimplification. The new model, the one I practice, understands that your pain, fatigue, and poor recovery are the final output of a system whose foundational energy production is disrupted by a toxic modern environment.
Let's address the common objections, and how my approach is different.
Objection 1: "Aren't chiropractors just back crackers?"
The Traditional Model: Often, yes. The focus is on the spinal adjustment as the primary, and sometimes only, tool.
Our Distinction: An adjustment is a single tool in a vast toolkit, and it is never the first or most important one. My primary role is that of a health detective and guide.
My Foundational Toolkit is Broader: It includes Functional Range Conditioning, Fascial Manipulation, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), and rehabilitation science. The adjustment is one technique for restoring joint function, but it is secondary to restoring your body's capacity for movement and self-regulation.
We Address the Environment, Not Just the Symptom: You can have the most perfectly aligned spine, but if you're sleeping in a lit room, staring at screens at night, and never seeing the sun, your cellular energy system will be broken, and you will not heal. We fix that first.
Objection 2: "I don't want to be told I need to come forever."
The Traditional Model: Unfortunately, a maintenance-based model without clear functional endpoints is still common.
Our Distinction: My goal is to make you independent, not dependent. Our work together follows a clear, three-tiered ladder with a defined finish line.
Tier 1: Solve the Pain & Movement Problem. We use precise manual therapy and active rehab to get you out of pain and restore basic function. This has a clear start and end date.
Tier 2: Build Resilient Fundamentals. We integrate smart nutrition, hydration, and sleep hygiene to create a biological environment conducive to healing.
Tier 3: Optimize Your Circadian Environment. For those ready, we rebuild your body's master clock through light, dark, and rhythm. This is the ultimate foundation for preventing future problems.
You "graduate" from Tier 1. Tiers 2 and 3 are about education and empowerment, creating a body so resilient that pain becomes a rarity.
Objection 3: "I've heard neck adjustments can be dangerous."
The Traditional Model: The risk, while extremely small, is associated with high-velocity, rotational neck manipulations.
Our Distinction: Safety is our highest priority. I perform thorough screenings and use a wide range of techniques. I prioritize active-care exercise first before manual therapy. I will never perform a technique I believe to be higher risk than necessary. My focus is on restoring function, not on producing a "crack."
Objection 4: "Can't I just see a physical therapist?"
The Traditional Model: This creates an unnecessary rivalry. Both PTs and DCs can be excellent musculoskeletal providers.
Our Distinction: This is the wrong question. The right question is: "Who can address the environmental cause of my stalled recovery?"
Most physical therapists are exceptional at Tier 1—rehabilitating movement. My practice is built to specialize when that rehab stalls because the deeper biological environment is broken.
I am not an alternative to a good PT; I am the next step for the patient who has done the PT, done the exercises, but still isn't getting better because no one has addressed their circadian biology, mitochondrial function, and light environment.
Objection 5: "I'm skeptical of anyone who claims to cure everything."
The Traditional Model: Some practitioners make unfounded claims about treating non-musculoskeletal conditions.
Our Distinction: I completely agree with your skepticism. I do not claim to "cure" diabetes, asthma, or autoimmune conditions.
What I do is more fundamental: I restore your body's inherent ability to regulate and heal itself. By fixing the foundation—your light environment, sleep, and cellular energy production—many "unrelated" symptoms (fatigue, anxiety, poor recovery, systemic inflammation) often resolve as a natural byproduct of the body returning to a state of coherence. This isn't a "cure;" it's the restoration of order.
Your Next Step: A Conversation Based on Curiosity, Not Conviction
If this perspective resonates with you, it means you're looking for more than a passive treatment. You're looking for a partner in understanding your body's unique language and needs.
I invite you to book a Discovery Session. This is not a high-pressure sales call. It's a conversation to determine if my unique, systems-based approach is the right fit for your journey from pain to profound health.
If you're ready to not just recover from your injury, but to build a body that resists them altogether, this is the work.
